| Boston's Bad Ass Boys What a powerful live act the early years of the J Geils Band—hard-rockin' with Peter Wolf's jive patter (mostly neutered on this platter). This concert was recorded in Detroit (their other "home town") and was the first of three live albums. While this recording is great, try to find the Beantown Bombers when they appeared at Bill Graham's Fillmore East closing in June '71. All the jive you need—it'll knock your socks off! Take it from one who was there (they covered Babs!). |
