Album Awaited Artifacting
The Charlatans recorded enough material for an album, but after fights with Kama Sutra over the single, it was shelved. These early recordings were finally released in 1996. There's an Easter Egg page with more info (hint: they started the Psychedelic Era in the summer of 1965).
The two creative leaders (Hunter & Hicks) departed and the band tried to carry on, finally releasing an album in the spring of 1969.

George forms Globe Propaganda creative designs and creates many album covers (Quicksilver's Happy Trails for one).
Dan forms Hot Licks (see below), first with David LaFlamme, who bailed to start It's A Beautiful Day.
Early demos with Dan and David (and Jamie Leopold) were released in 1998: Early Muses.

His 60th birthday bash concert DVD (2003) is well worth tracking down. |
