The Hollies Alpha Listing
Complete title listing for UK/US 45s/EPs/LPs.
Hollies Got Hosed

Poor Hollies (in the US, anway). Trackitis worse than The Beatles, Stones, or Kinks could image. Beside the tossing of tracks around, all albums except Evolution and Distant Light had their titles changed when shipped across the pond. One album, In The Hollies Style, was ignored completely. Plus a lot of orphan singles over here.

Check the Alpha PDF for the gory details. If you want to invest your time on their discography, this Steve Hoffman Music Forum thread should help you out.

Shocker: Album Title & Tracks Are The Same!

This album was one of two that survived the trip across the Atlantic unmolested.

Anywho, this album's got that big hit single—a staple of rock stations in 'Murica. #2 on Billboard and #1 on Cashbox (their biggest hit here), but suprisingly only #32 on their home turf. The album didn't even make the UK charts either. Lead singer Clarke had quit the band before the album was released, but agreed to rejoin after the hit.
